An image is about capturing the soul and its feelings of existence "It doesn't matter one bit what you choose to do in
life, just make sure you're happy doing it." I truly love
being an image creator. To me, photography is not only the image but
the
story the photographer is telling and only having one fraction of a
moment to tell the whole story. The art of jerking an initial
reaction is
what pushes me to go somewhere visually / or pushing thought processes
where I've never been. I love to try things
that might not make sense on paper or simply to others but when
captured in a photograph, image or wording it can not be denied. Looking
outside the box creatively was never a
problem, my mind just never fit nicely into any one box. I like to refer to my mind as a matrix of ideas, experiences and with external
tenticals that search for ever-more input. Using that input and my
matrix mind ... I then start the creation process. Visual connection
has been a
part of me since before I can remember. Oh, heck.... finding an address
in the dark is something i really need to work on these days.....
With out the visual...my mind does not seem to connect. Creating
with all the new digital tools that have been developed in the last few
years is like a pure artistic playground. Staying on top of the
photographic changing curve is a challenge that I take great joy in everyday trying to achieve.
I look forward to working on all different types of projects. I love
doing research and trying to understand what product you are looking
for and trying to pursue that perfect idea that will end up creating a
lasting image that gets burned into your memory.
Melissa studied international business and obtained her Bachelors and Masters Degrees at the University of Colorado in, International Business and International Management respectively.

Photography
and art has always been Melissa's passion -- ever since she was a
little child. Melissa has always sought new outlets for her creativity,
which never seems stagnate. modeling experience and presented her 'image' in many major company advertising campaigns including both print and commercials. Some of these companies included budweiser, Millerlight, roper jeans, golfing products print and commercial, home safety products, bathing suit tags, budweiser ski commercials, pilot T.V show, etc. She uses this prior experience to her greatest advantage when it comes to people and having them perform in front of a camera. Melissa is now stepping behind the camera and letting you be the performer!
